Each year Dover Youth to Youth conducts an in-depth training program for adults interested in implementing youth empowerment or for those directly involved in coordinating, starting or energizing a youth advocacy group focused on substance misuse issues in their community.
This training is for either: (1) adult advisers who are currently supervising an anti-drug youth empowerment program like Dover Youth to Youth, or (2) for adult staff who will be instrumental in organizing or implementing a youth empowerment program in their community or region. (3) Key youth leaders may attend in some cases if approved in advance.
The training will take place Monday July 8th through Thursday July11th in Dover, NH from 8:30 am-4:30 pm daily (day 4 is ½ day). Adult participants will receive:
Participants will have the opportunity to apply principles learned, with middle school youth advocates attending the youth component of our training week.
The training costs $525 per adult and includes: training, training materials, and breakfast & lunch daily. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, lodging and other meals.
