Webinar: The Value of Storytelling to Enhance Prevention

Community substance use and misuse prevention stories are everywhere. Storytelling can be one of the most powerful tools for educating, persuading, and effecting support for community prevention efforts.
During this webinar, taking place on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. ET, participants will learn why storytelling is an important tool to showcase their prevention efforts through Communities Talk activities and events and other prevention programs, as well as understand how to craft engaging and powerful prevention stories that are respectful, inclusive, and equitable. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) has collaborated with award-winning storyteller, Joseph Green, CEO of LMSvoice, to share storytelling techniques and practices that organizations and communities can use to develop impactful prevention stories that disrupt the narrative.
