The Partnership released a new Power of Prevention podcast episode with Melissa Lee of the University of New Hampshire Extension Opioid Prevention Project. This episode discusses the state’s opioid response efforts and the opportunities created through the use of evidence-based opioid prevention practices. The evidence-based practices being implemented in New Hampshire are part of a nationwide effort to put an end to the opioid epidemic.
This SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) funding to address the opioid epidemic is just one way in which advocates in NH are building a healthier future for all. Under the umbrella of the State Opioid Response (SOR), the Opioid Prevention Project works with state funded prevention programs such as The Partnership @drugfreeNH and others across the state to address issues of substance misuse, mental health, and overdose. You can learn more about the groups working on these issues at the Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services and The Partnership @drugfreeNH.
