Youth Indoor and Outdoor Exposure to Secondhand Smoke and Aerosol

CADCA presents the next installment of the webinar series, Youth Indoor and Outdoor Exposure to Secondhand Smoke and Aerosol, on August 9th at 1pm EST. This installment of our series will be with Dr. Samantha Puvanesarajah and Michael Tynan, MPH from the Office of Smoking and Health at the Centers for Disease Control. They will present the findings of their recent article, published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine in June 2022.

In this webinar the speakers will present results from the first study to report separate estimates of self-reported public indoor and outdoor secondhand smoke and secondhand aerosol exposures among U.S. youth, using data from the 2020 National Youth Tobacco Survey, and discuss policy implications for clean air legislation. Secondhand smoke and secondhand aerosol exposures are both important public health concerns. As the product landscape evolves, it remains important to modernize and update smoke-free policies to protect people from these exposures from all products, in all settings.
