YLTA Advisor Training

At this training, attendees will learn how to adapt adventure education activities to be effective learning tools to address substance misuse and other challenging social behaviors, share program ideas and specific activities that can be effectively integrated into any classroom setting. Using an activity -based approach for teaching social skills has long been proven to be an effective method for changing behaviors and creating positive group norms.
The YLTA Advisor Training will help advisors:
- Gain a better understanding of Positive Youth Development
- Learn about youth activism, building strong leaders, and
effective teamwork. - Learn how to empower your students and support youth-led
adult guided advocacy. - Develop a detailed plan to bring local community efforts to the
next level.
