Join Facilitators Elaina Wheaton and Michelle Brauch – two of the creators of the Take Control Program – which became evidence-based in the state of NH, in meeting the social and emotional needs of youth in managing anger. Trainees will participate in the entire Take Control Curriculum, understand the science behind the learning objectives, and learn how to use the program to assist youth in their community.

This facilitator training will demonstrate to trainees how to run an anger management program by teaching:

  • How to implement an adolescent program focused on improved communication strategies.
  • How to manage highly emotional situations.
  • How to reduce the effects of anger by guiding youth through the program’s 12-hour process to develop skills and teach trainees how to offer solutions and ideas to manage youth emotions.

Participants must attend the full training and commit to technical assistance while the program is being implemented, to assure fidelity. At the completion of the training all participants will have facilitated portions of the group and will receive the Take Control Curriculum and Technical Assistance to run their own groups for up to one year.

Date: July 16, 2025 OR August 6, 2025
Cost: $800.00/waived. Manuals are $199 each.
