This curriculum is delivered in weekly 90-minute sessions over 17 weeks in a group format. We offer childcare during the sessions and can help in arranging transportation to group each week, as a way to reduce barriers for our participants.
The Nurturing Programs are evidence-based programs with over 30 years of field research that is recognized by:
• SAMHSA (Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration)
• NREPP (National Registry for Evidence-Based Programs and Practices)
• California Evidence-Based Programs
Participants will learn about childhood development, creating and maintaining healthy family systems, increasing empathy for children and other family members, gaining better self-awareness, heightening self-esteem and increasing confidence.
The Nurturing Program is built upon the belief that all caregivers want to be “good” and nurturing caregivers to their children. Through this curriculum, we can assist our caregivers to meet this goal by providing connections, education and resources.
