Recommended for 4th-5th grade educators
Our foundational upper-elementary curriculum has been newly updated for 2021! This evidence-based educational resource contains lessons on how media and technology shape our habits and attitudes around health and wellness while engaging students in a hands-on health fair project. New topics include vaping, infographics, reality TV, and community advocacy.
During this PD session, educators will explore the intersection of media literacy and health through discussions, media analysis, and hands-on examples of lesson activities. You will get to see sample lessons as well as examples of student responses to media-literacy activities. Upon completion of the workshop, all New Hampshire educators will receive a copy of the curriculum at no additional cost thanks to a grant from the NH Department of Justice. The registration fee is $10 and includes light refreshments.
COVID-19 Policies: We ask that you wear a mask while inside the workshop area unless eating or drinking and maintain social distance when possible.
