RESHCEDULED TO OCTOBER
Message from the Dover Mental Health Alliance Team:
” Our August 18 event – Many Faces of Our Mental Health: the 99 Faces Project will be cancelled for tomorrow and rescheduled to a date in October. We have found that many folks are taking their last days of summer off- which is always a good thing. The good news is- the exhibit is staying with us at Dover High School through September and into October! (Originally, we thought it would be moving to its next location at the end of this month). We will be scheduling a new event for a community showing with artist Lynda Cutrell, in October, which will include other community members and special guests. Please keep your eye out for the next date.”
Guided Tour of Many Faces of Mental Health: 99 Faces Project w/ Ashley Caron, open conversation to follow in the Library @ Dover HS
The 99 Faces Project, conceived of by artist Lynda Cutrell, working in collaboration with partners from science and journalism, address issues of stigma and mental illness. Large scale portraits of 33 people with bi-polar disorder, 33 people with schizophrenia and 33 people who love them will be on display as well as three dimensional sculptures, video installations and paintings.
The evening will feature exhibit tours by Dover High rising Senior and Mental Health Initiative member Ashley Caron followed by an open, community conversation about mental health.
