FB Live – Well-Being in the Winter: Supporting Recovery and Wellness During the Holidays and Beyond

As winter sets in, the days are continuing to get shorter for a few more weeks and the holiday festivities are amping up – along with some of the stress that accompanies this time of year. While many folks are holly and jolly, it’s not the easiest time of year for all. Join The Partnership as we talk with Kristie Curtis and Ellie Masson from the NH Governor’s Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative, administered by Granite United Way, to discuss Well-Being in the Winter: Supporting Recovery and Wellness During the Holidays and Beyond. We will discuss practical things we all can do to take care of ourselves and support others during this time of year.

Kristie Curtis (she/her) is the Assistant Director, leading and mentoring a team of 5 RFW Advisors in their work supporting NH businesses. A public health professional focused on system improvements across sectors & equity for underserved populations, Kristie is a relationship builder, stigma fighter, and passionate advocate for youth evidence based SUD prevention/leadership programs.

Ellie Masson (she/her) is a Recovery Friendly Advisor, helping workplaces and coalitions better support their employees in recovery – and those affected by substance use disorder directly or indirectly – through education, connection to local resources, and the development of recovery-friendly practices through customized training and resources to meet the organization’s culture and needs. Ellie has a background in criminal justice reform, drug policy advocacy, and community engagement, and she is excited to be in this role supporting businesses in the state – and getting to lift up the wonderful work the business community is already doing to support folks in recovery.
