Empowering the Future: Engaging Community Stakeholders with a Focus on Youth Involvement

Community involvement is a cornerstone of prevention work and engaging youth in our community work can elevate and inspire our work. This introductory-level webinar will provide an overview of community engagement with a focus on youth involvement and capacity building in prevention. What do we gain by authentically engaging youth in our prevention work and how can we build prevention programs that support youth involvement?
Audience: This is an introductory level webinar intended for those who are new to the field of prevention or new to community and youth engagement.

Presenter: Nicole Platz is an Implementation Specialist at the EPIS Center at Pennsylvania State University and a masters-level clinician. Prior to her work at EPIS, she served in various capacities during her 12- year tenure at the Achievement Center in Erie, PA. She has practiced as a Family-Based Mental Health Therapist and Supervisor, Supervisor of the EcoSystemic Structural Family Mobile Therapy Program, and Project Director for the System of Care in Erie County.
