This webinar will review approaches to care for opioid-exposed newborns focusing on the Eat, Sleep, Console (ESC) approach developed at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and transformed into a structured patient/family-centered assessment and nonpharmacologic ESC Care Tool.
Short-term health outcomes following introduction of the ESC Care Tool for two Northern New England perinatal quality improvement initiatives will also be presented illustrating the improvements for the care of opioid-exposed infants by using the ESC Care Tool.
The educational presentation will be a Lunch and Learn format, with opportunity for questions and answers/discussion.
