Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support Certification Training
  • How can we work with families most effectively?

  • What does it mean to be a quality Family and Strengthening and Support Program?

  • How can Programs use the Standards to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion?

The newly-revised, nationally-adopted Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support are used across the country by public departments, foundations, networks, community-based organizations, and families as a tool for planning, providing, and assessing quality practice.

Based on the Principles of Family Support Practice and the Strengthening Families Framework and its research-based, evidence-informed 5 Protective Factors, the Standards have created a common language across different kinds of Family Strengthening and Support programs such as Family Resource Centers, home visiting programs, and child development programs.

Participants who successfully complete the training will receive a certificate from the National Family Support Network, valid for two years.  More than 9400 people have successfully completed the Certification Program in 25 states and the District of Columbia.

Please note: Because the standards have been revised, this training is for both those who have never been certified before and those who need recertification.

Recommended Participants:

Management and direct service staff in the Family Support and Strengthening field.  Teams of Executive Directors, Managers, Coordinators, and Direct Service Staff are highly encouraged to participate together because each has a key role to play in implementing the Standards effectively.

If you are affiliated with a program that is a member of Family Support NH or are a member of the Wellness or Primary Prevention Council you are welcome to attend at no cost.  Others can attend for a fee of $100 paid to Family Support NH – PO Box 1544 – Concord, NH 03102.

A participant manual will be sent to you and you must have this manual to attend the training.

The trainings begin promptly at 8:30 a.m., those arriving late may not qualify for certification.
